Interior Design Consultancy
I offer a Design consultancy service, based on hourly rate , depending on your requirements- should you require further details on the hourly rates do not hesitate to contact me.
The service can vary from designing curtains, including treatment specification, suggest paint colours, design bespoke furniture, choosing antiques and Art work, sourcing new furniture, to advice on a full room decoration scheme, Styling and Accessories, personal shopping, to accompany clients on visits to showrooms, Art galleries, Antiques dealers and Design exhibitions.
Interior Design Package
For maximum flexibility I incorporate two break points in the Design fee structure package, this allows to determine precisely the level of involvement that I have in your project. I will work on big to small projects and particular requirements can be discussed.
Initial Consultation
It takes place in your home, it is a very important part of the Interior Design process, as I will discuss the space, your requirement, budget, make initial suggestions in order to determine the level of involvement I will have in your project. The consultation is an opportunity to show me the space, talk trough your ideas and ask any questions you have on how I work. I will go trough all your design needs, practicality issues , preferences and start to get a better feel of the space you would like to be re-designed.
Fee: Based on hourly rate. If you live outside central London areas, a small pre-agreed fee is charged to cover travel expenses.
Fee Proposal and Agreement
After receipt of my fee proposal, if it is your desire to proceed, an Agreement is signed and the next stage involves as many as site visits to establish in details your requirements, take the measurements, photographs, according to room size and scope of works. The Interior Design fee varies according to room size and number and scope of works and it is detailed in a Fee Proposal letter and it covers for the sourcing of fabrics, wall coverings, floor coverings, lighting, furniture and fittings, accessories, varying depending on project. Design suggestions will be provided as well as samples as appropriate and sample boards ( when required), and initial design drawings. How long all this takes varies according to the complexity of you particular project, and crucially any changes which you ask me to make along the way.
Fee:Fixed fee for our research/sourcing time and interior design ideas based on an hourly rate. All additions and changes, not included on the Fee Proposal letter, that will require extra time will be charged separately. A 50% deposit for the design fee is payable upon engagement with the remainder payable upon delivery of sample boards and drawings
Break point
You may choose to implement the design yourself at this stage. The design materials sourced and drawings supplied will facilitate this.
Once the design and final drawings are approved you have the option to commission detailed specifications and schedule of works for each room. These are highly desirable documents used to detail the works required to the contractor for quotation purposes and to guide the activities of the craftsman and contractors – carpenters, plumbers, decorators – during the project itself. A quote is provided based on he scope of works. You can choose whether to hire and supervise contractors yourself, or to use our services.

From this point you are well equipped to find, appoint and manage your own contractor.
Project Coordination
I can offer Project Coordination on the overall project with specific focus on time , cost and performance targets. I will appoint contractors, organise schedule and check deliveries of materials, manage schedules of work. Being on site regularly to oversee and manage tradespeople ( builders, specialists, kitchen and bathroom fitters ) and make sure they are doing what is in the plan. Hold regular site meetings with the contractors. Organise the work installation.
Gs Interior Design does-not receive any commission from the tradesman involved. Invoices in respect of the project co-ordination fee are charged in line with payments to contractors/suppliers or at intervals throughout the duration of the project. clients will be invoiced directly by each contractor, ensuring those all-important guarantees.
Fee: Based on a percentage of the overall project cost.
Supply Stage
Supply of materials- I act as an agent for the supply of fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, floor coverings, accessories etc . All goods are supplied at the best trade prices. I can negotiate on your behalf, plus an handling fee for the time involved in administrating these purchases. A deposit is required prior to the placement of any purchase orders. Deliveries charges and freight incurred are charged on to the client at cost. Do not hesitate to contact me for further details.
